Job Description:

Hope Services is seeking a compassionate and skilled Developmental Specialist to join our dedicated team in the Bay Area. This role focuses on improving the quality of life for individuals with developmental disabilities through personalized service plans. By integrating therapeutic techniques and comprehensive support measures, the Developmental Specialist facilitates enhanced independence and social inclusion for clients across all age groups. Assess clients' developmental, emotional, and social needs through direct observation and collaboration with family members or caregivers. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that address specific developmental goals. Provide ongoing support and modification of individual plans to ensure effectiveness and client satisfaction. Engage clients in activities designed to promote intellectual, social, and physical growth. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, therapists, and other service agencies to deliver a multidisciplinary approach to client care. Document client progress and provide detailed reports to caregivers and healthcare providers. Advocate for the needs and rights of clients, including fostering community connections and resources. Conduct workshops and training sessions for families and caregivers to educate them about developmental challenges and coping mechanisms. Strong interpersonal and communication skills Expertise in creating and implementing targeted treatment plans Ability to work effectively with diverse populations Proficient in record-keeping and patient documentation Knowledge of developmental therapy and behavioral management Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current certification in CPR and First Aid Certified Developmental Disabilities Specialist (CDDS) preferred
