About the opportunityDepartment DescriptionInvestment Solutions & Services (ISS) offers Fidelity's investment expertise to wholesale, institutional and other professional investing clients. We provide these clients with funds in which, they and their clients can invest, or segregated mandates which are bespoke solutions. We invest our clients' money in a range of asset classes inc. equities, fixed income and real estate inc. derivatives; we also offer multi-asset products which invest across these and other asset classes and in 3rd party fund products. - We aspire to offer the most innovative and appropriate investment solutions to our clients, and also to support their evolving business needs by unbundling our capabilities to add our expertise to their capabilities---------------------ISS Technology is responsible for the design and delivery of all the technology solutions that support the Investment Solutions and Services business, which are organised into Asset Management Operations, Investment Management, and Distribution, and covers all of Fidelity International's locations, including London, Dublin, Hong Kong, and Tokyo. -Purpose of your roleThe role sits within the newly formed Change Initiation & Oversight team who are responsible for providing:analysis, high level planning, and recommendations on potential changes to enable key stakeholders to make well informed decisions on next steps and/or optionsholistic oversight and insight over ISS Technology's book of changedriving continual improvement and enhancement activities on how change is deliveredThe role holder will have excellent business analysis skills and will be expected to undertake high quality, and comprehensive initial analysis, as well as outline planning for potential change investments, especially where there is a likelihood of impact across ISS capabilities and/or portfolios (COO / Investment Management / Distribution). They will be confident in designing technical and workflow solutions as well as managing the delivery, testing and deployment of those solutions to delivery.The role holder will have significant asset / investment management knowledge and experience, ideally gained within organisations with global presences.The role holder will have some project management experience, including the definition of high-quality delivery plans including clear critical paths, resource requirements, financial forecasts, dependencies, and delivery risks.The role holder may be asked to undertake impact assessments for Regulatory and Mandatory changes, as well as support the alignment of understanding for the scope, scale and impact for changes categorised as Continual Improvement (CI) or Small Scale Enhancement (SSE).The role is both business and technology facing and will require excellent relationship management and communication skills to ensure a superior service to stakeholders and technology partners is maintained.The role holder will need to form partnerships with representatives from across the organisation including business areas, operational change, and technology to capture high level requirements, obtain estimates, and understand potential delivery dependencies and/or constraints.The role holder will be naturally curious and confident, enabling them to challenge the status quo and propose solutions that not only meet requirements but also best position to ISS to deliver quality outcomes, in a sustainable way, for the long term.The role holder will need to provide support to those taking on delivery of those change investments being forward to implementation, and in some cases, they may be asked to take on delivery responsibilities following initial analysis and planning.The role holder will act as an advisor to those looking to initiate potential change investment requests by providing guidance and support on the steps required to meet change governance process expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesRequirements Analysis and DocumentationCoordinate initial conversations with the business areas on their target operating model and change requirementsIdentify requirements effectively and efficientlyProduce different forms of analysis documentation to an appropriate and agreed level of depthDeliver presentation or workshop sessions on requirements to stakeholder groupsRegularly review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes, estimates and recommendations relating to the proposed solution, to ensure they are up to date throughout the life cycle of the projectRequirements Planning and ManagementWork with Project Managers and Business Sponsors to agree on the Terms of ReferenceEnsure that all Stakeholders have a common understanding of what is being deliveredBe self-sufficient in identifying and understanding business requirement/issuesIdentify & escalate as appropriate, issues & instances where an agreed target or deadline is at risk or will not be metProject ExecutionProvide input into project timelines, estimation, action plans and risk management proceduresEnsure timely completion of work packages in line with project deadline and scheduleAct as a proxy customer facilitating open communication between the customer and development teamsEmbedding (e.g. Testing, Training, Support, Process Re-engineering etc.)Support the testing as required with knowledge that aids test scripting & execution, including handovers & walkthroughsWork with the Test team to define defects, acceptable tolerances within various types of testingExperience and Qualifications RequiredKnowledge:Business Analysis best practiceAsset / Investment Management business and operationsProject management and execution methodologies (Agile and Waterfall)Good understanding of data and data modelling to assist with systems integration planningSkillsExcellent requirements analysis and consultative skills, with a logical approach to problem solvingAbility to operate effectively with limited oversightExcellent communication (written & oral), interpersonal and relationship management skillsAbility to work in a demanding and fast paced environment with speed and disciplineConfident working with senior management across multiple business areasAbility to review proposed solutions and make recommendationsAbout youAbout Fidelity InternationalFidelity International offers investment solutions and services and retirement expertise to more than 2.56 million customers globally.
