The SF Bay Area Ledgent Team has been in the Bay Area for nearly 25 years and we are seeking a qualified Payroll Specialist - -To apply to this Payroll Specialist position, please apply ASAP or email your resume directly to our Senior Team Member Samad Patel spatel@ledgent.com. - -Pay: up to $85K DOELocation: Hybrid, PleasantonStarts: - ASAPThis role is Temp To Hire or Perm Direct-Hire -Responsibilities: -Administer semimonthly payroll using ADP Workforce Now, while adhering to strict time lines for file transactions and payroll funding, ensuring accuracy and compliance with government regulatory agenciesRespond to payroll related inquiries including but not limited to employee compensation/bonus inquiries, payroll deductions, state unemployment and disability claims, wage and child support garnishments.Issue, or reissue, physical or replacement checks or direct deposits due to payroll errors or final discharge.Provide payroll data for year-end W2s, 401k/ESOP benefits, state tax filings, Workers Comp, EDD, and other agency responses/audits -Qualifications: -2+ years' experience in payrollADP Workforce Now or other ADP software experienceStrong knowledge of general accounting procedures & federal, state and local laws relating to payrollThree or more years of project billing experience, preferably within the A/E industry.Self-starter with strong organization, problem solving and collaboration skillsDedicated to excellence, accuracy, efficiency and attention to detail.Exceptional organization and planning skills to meet deadlinesExcellent writing and communication skillsStrong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).Ability to work independently and in team environmentBachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting, or equivalent experience + certificate(s) in Finance/Accounting - -All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability or protected veteran status.We are an equal opportunity employer and make hiring decisions based on merit.
