POSITION DESCRIPTION

Senior QA Engineer

Location: Dublin, CA

Date: September 2020

The Senior QA Engineer will work closely with QA Manager, QA leads, Product Managers and Professional Service/Customer support teams to deliver best-in-class solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Meeting with the software/product designers to determine and define quality assurance parameters.
• Implementing testing procedures and overseeing the QA process.
• Overseeing the drafting of testing documents.
• Troubleshooting quality issues and modifying test procedures.
• Conducting analysis checks on product specifications.
• Reviewing Quality Assurance reports.
• Ensuring the successful deployment of products.
• Responding to requests from the design team and management.
• Review requirements, specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback and create test scenarios and test plans.
• Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities
• Design, develop and execute automation scripts using open source tools
• Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
• Liaise with internal teams (e.g. developers, product manager and project managers) to identify system requirements
• Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and provide support to customers during acceptance testing

Skills/Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field required
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
• Self-starter, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational/time-management and multitasking skills, and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects
• Experience of Agile or Continuous Integration methodologies

Additional Requirements:

Knowledge of foodservice or hospitality industry a plus
