Under the guidance of the VP Risk Management, the Risk Analyst is primarily responsible for the enterprise Business Continuity Program (BCP) including successful development, implementation, and maintenance of the BCP plan. The primary program components are the enterprise-wide business impact analysis (BIA), the business continuity planning process, conducting BC exercises and coordination with Disaster Recovery planning.


  • Updates and maintains governance around BCP Program
  • Coordinates with internal business partners to update BCP-related documentation
  • Identifies risks and creates mitigating action plans relating to BCP
  • Partners with internal business partners to ensure continuity with Incident Response and Disaster Recovery Teams.
  • Identifies problems, involves others in seeking solutions to enhance operations, conducts appropriate analysis, and searches for best solutions.
  • Distinguishes relevant from irrelevant information and makes timely sound decisions. Aligns decisions with the member in mind to create value for the membership.   
  • Empowers team members with the tools, products, and services they need to collectively maintain a strong BCP Program. Advocates for others and aligns with the credit union philosophy.

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
  • 3-5 years of work experience, preferably in a financial intuition.
  • 2-3 years of Direct BCP responsibilities
  • Experience in a BCP fundamentals
  • Responds quickly to new challenges.
  • Acts with integrity in all decision making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products and comfortable using third-party BCP administrative software.
  • Strong communication skills
  • Demonstrates ability to present with impact and communicate effectively.
  • Listens to others, communicates articulately, and fosters open and honest communication.
  • Is concise and persuasive orally and in writing.
  • Listens to what is said and is appropriately sensitive to the reaction of others.
  • Self-starter, resourceful and a quick learner.
  • Models and acts with a sense of urgency and seizes opportunities to improve the overall experience for the membership.
