Senior Consultant, New Shipping Capabilities Location: Dublin, OH NJ, WI, IL, OH, NY, TN, GA, TX, WA Country: United States Date Posted: 5/12/2021 Type: Full time Employment Type: Regular What Transportation contributes to Cardinal Health The Cardinal Health Logistics team delivers products and services that create a differentiated experience for customers while relentlessly improving speed, reliability, and cost through supply chain optimization. We enable growth through the effective and efficient movement of over 45 million shipments for Cardinal Health customers. That includes the flow of materials and products between suppliers, manufacturers, and customers. As a leader in Procurement, you will work in the product model, and partner to develop a comprehensive product strategy, related roadmap and set key business objectives for your respective product. You will need to leverage the knowledge of your product and customer feedback and establish other relevant data points to assess value, develop business proposals, and prioritize the direction and desired outcomes for your product. You will lead a product and work in unison with engineers, UX designers, data scientists, and business partners to deliver a product. This Senior Consultant will have responsibility for an individual logistics product that advances Cardinal Health's network and ownership over carrier onboarding activities and fleet equipment. They will manage and develop a team of Consultants with responsibilities and tasks tied to the logistics product. Position Expectations Build, enable, and drive multi-year strategy both within direct scope as well as for the Cardinal Health Logistics organization Logistics product scoping, design, activation, and deployment Develop Product Management practice to align technology, finance and business teams Create connectivity among platform products, identify gaps and opportunities Collaborate cross-functionally and liaise with internal stakeholders, including senior leaders Product focus: Develop logistics capabilities using emerging technologies in the transportation industry Position Accountabilities Identify critical logistics capabilities and internal customer needs Analyze, design and optimize Procurement and and operational capabilities through product development and strategic product management Develop and own product vision, strategy, business case and implementation Manage carrier onboarding activities to ensure successful carrier transitions Manage fleet equipment needs for the private fleet Develop processes, procedures and routines within the organization to advance the transportation network Provide quantitative and qualitative analysis to support product objectives Accountable to the financial performance of the product Work closely with Enterprise IT on technology needs for logistics product development Coach and develop direct and indirect team members, lead talent planning activities for direct team Build relationships across the Logistics COE and the broader organization to inform decisions and maintain feedback channels Understands and keeps pace with trends and emerging capabilities in the market Position Qualifications 4-year college degree preferred (or equivalent experience) 8+ years experience across Product Management, Procurement Management, and Transportation Operations preferred Experience in building strategic and product roadmaps Experience with technology and ability to facilitate communication between business and technology teams Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. user stories, iterative development, scrum teams, sprints, personas) Experience leading people Professional level business writing skills: a writing sample will be required as part of the interview process Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office products Cardinal Health is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
