Job Description:
Minimum qualifications: Bachelors degree or equivalent practical
experience. 5 years of experience with software development in one
or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
2 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software
products, and 1 year of experience with software design and
architecture. Preferred qualifications: 4 years of experience in
networking, storage, systems architecture, compilers, operating
systems, or modeling and analysis. Experience programming in C,
C++, Java, or Python. Experience building high-quality and reusable
infrastructure for AI. Experience diving into stack-spanning
systems and tools, from high-level Python to low-level C++.
Experience designing APIs. Ability to stay informed on the latest
AI models, tools, and techniques. About the job Googles software

The JAX External (JAXX) teams mission is to expand the
possibilities of generative AI research and deployment using JAX,
with a focus on developing JAX and its ecosystem specifically for
the external community outside of Google. We are a high-agency team
that works on a variety of projects. In this role, you will have
the opportunity to engage directly with the JAX community as well
as engineers across JAX team, Accelerated Linear Algebra (XLA), and

range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 bonus equity
benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and
location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work
location and additional factors, including job-related skills,
experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can

Responsibilities Implement and benchmark reference JAX models and
techniques and also inform new JAX features and improvements. Work
with the JAX team to design and implement new JAX features. Author
and improve high-performance kernels. Work directly with JAX power
users to solve problems and enable new workloads.
