Salinas, CA Agency: Vita Health Staffing Pay: $1,979 to $2,379 per
week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 2/23/2026 About the Position

qualified ER/Trauma RN in Salinas, California, 93906! ID: 59729396
Shift: 12 hour nights; 6:45PM-7:15AM Predicted Gross Weekly Range:
$3021.43 - $3339.47 Description: bed, Level II Trauma, Teaching
Hospital. The only Trauma Center in Monterey County, as well as
many other surrounding communities.Voted Best Hospital in Salinas
Valley (out of 3 hospitals) by Salinas Valley Reader s Choice -
2022 Department:19 bed ER department. NMC is a Level II Trauma
Center. They are the only Trauma Center in Monterey County and many
of the surrounding counties and communities. They have triage
available up front 24/7 and will see a variety of patients - from
young to the more vulnerable patient population. They see a wide
variety of extreme traumas (high acuity) such as MVA, penetrating
wounds, gun shots and falls but the travelers will not be assigned
trauma patients. The department will see approximately 170 patients
per day. Charge RN is available in the department and does not take
a patient assignment; as well as break nurses that are available
and do not take patient assignments. Ratio is 1:4, unless it is a
ICU or Stepdown patient Specialty 2 years experience working in ER
setting. Will accept first time travelers in this department.
Requirements: Licensed as a RN in the State of California, BLS,
ACLS and PALS issued through American Heart Association, TNCC, and
NIHSS certificationsWill be scheduled 4 weeks at a time and be on a
shift rotation. All shifts will work every other weekend. Charting:
Meditech. WOWs are provided to each RN for charting; Medication
Administration: Pyxis; IV Pumps: SolarisScrubs: Any color of
professional scrubs. No other facility logos permitted.Orientation
offered Monday s only Will start in Human Resources and complete
paperwork and obtain badge, next onto Occupational Health for
Respiratory Fit Test and then will meet with Nursing Education to
complete appropriate testing for their unit. All RNs will take a
medication test the first day. After testing, will go to the unit
to finish their shift with a Clinical Preceptor. Will be provided
additional orientation to unit as needed based on RN s skill set.
