Nurse I Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia
Care Unit (PACU) Duration: 8 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12
hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year in PACU, ICU, or ED within the
last 5 years preferred. License: Active Registered Nurse License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, CPN, or equivalent required.
Must-Have: Knowledge of the nursing process and ability to operate
department equipment. Description: Under the direction of a team
leader or manager, the Staff Nurse I provides direct care to
patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning,
implementation, and evaluation. This ensures that the physical,
psychosocial, safety, rehabilitative, and learning needs of
patients and their families are addressed. The nurse will be
responsible for managing care for assigned patients and directing
the activities of ancillary staff. The Staff Nurse competently uses
medical therapeutics and technology to fulfill their
