Alameda Health Systems Eastmont Wellness Center, is a large
outpatient center that serves a diverse patient population in east
Oakland, CA. As a provider of care to all patients, regardless of

Eastmont offers full scope adult and pediatric primary care and
women's health services, including gynecology, family planning,
obstetric and prenatal care. We also provide specialty care
including orthopedics, optometry, ophthalmology, endocrine,
rheumatology, podiatry, and pediatric dentistry. We have on-site
lab, radiology, behavioral health therapy, nutrition services, and

We are currently recruiting for a Services As Needed (SAN) / Per
Diem Board Certified/Board Eligible Physician (Internal or Family
Medicine) to join our team. SAN support our providers with coverage
and same-day needs. We are looking for support primarily in our
adult medicine as well as our Refugee clinic. If you are interested

SUMMARY: Under direction, provides professional medical services to
patients at the Alameda Health System hospitals and clinics.
Assists in the administrative and professional direction of a
medical specialty service. Provides consultative services in their
specialty. Assigned as an administrative and professional assistant
to the chief of a specialty service and when specifically assigned,
may relieve the chief of service in their absence. May directly
supervise Physician I level. Performs related duties as
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: NOTE: The following are the
duties performed by employees in this classification. However,
employees may perform other related duties at an equivalent level.

Cares for patients in a compassionate, culturally competent, and
patient centered manner.
Participates in the supervision of Mid-level
Practitioners/Certified Nurse Midwives in assigned clinical area.
Practices evidence based medicine and is up to date with current
standards of care.
Provides cost effective care; manages time and patient flow well
when providing direct care to patients and following up on patient
Stays current with patient care responsibilities. (e.g. lab
results, medication refills, and radiology reports, relevant to
