Job Summary
Reporting to the AVP of Administration and Finance, the Marketing
Manager is responsible for the oversight, coordination,
implementation, and operation of the marketing activities for
multiple University departments. The incumbent administers the
Campus One-Card program, also known as the Seawolf Card, and is
responsible for meeting revenue goals and recommending appropriate
products and services to enhance revenue and/or student and campus
community experience for all areas. In addition, the incumbent
develops, launches and operates a licensing program for university
marks, logos, etc.
Key Qualifications
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in
University Marketing and/or communications, Auxiliary Services
preferred, along with 3 years of progressively responsible and
applicable supervisory experience. Bachelor's degree in either
Marketing, Business Administration with a Marketing
concentration/emphasis, and/or a related field/equivalent
combination of education and experience to provide the required
knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the duties of the
position. Higher education experience highly preferred.
Demonstrated experience reviewing, interpreting and developing
technical guidelines, policies and procedures, as well as
demonstrated excellence in providing customer service is required.
Extensive knowledge of social media platforms is required.
Experience in a one card program operation, and marketing
experience preferred. Extensive knowledge and proficiency with
computers and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, and Excel)
required. Extensive knowledge of Google Suite, Drupal, Slack, Asana
and PeopleSoft preferred.
Salary and Benefits
Starting salary placement depends on qualifications and experience
and is anticipated to be in the range of $3,938 to $6,613 a month.
This position is a member of the Management Personnel Plan and
serves at the pleasure of the President.
This position is eligible for a broad range of benefits, including
medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurances, retirement
(CalPERS), tuition waiver, vacation and sick leave. In addition, 15
paid holidays are offered each year. Sonoma State University is
