Requisition ID 140364 Job Category: Project / Program Management Job Level: Individual Contributor Business Unit: Electric Engineering Work Type: Hybrid Job Location: Oakland Department Overview The Electric Operations Asset Knowledge Management (AKM) organization's vision is to enable risk-informed, data driven decision-making by leveraging and improving records/data, managing and integrating data systems, and enabling technology. Data Management Program Management Office (PMO) is part of AKM under the Data Management & Analytics department. The major focus of this team is on realizing tangible improvements to PG&E's data quality and ensuring high data quality is maintained over time. The team works closely with partners across Electric Operations and IT to collaboratively and strategically support critical data elements to enable informed use of data resources. Position Summary The Program Manager's primary function is responsible for understanding business challenges, gathering and translating complex business requirements into solutions, drive projects and bringing value to the organization. S/he will serve as a liaison between LoBs across the organization to ensure that data related business requirements are clearly defined, communicated and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning. S/he will manage data quality projects and eliminate discrepancies across the portfolio and help install effective controls that prevent and monitor data quality. S/he will document requirements, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies. S/he will lead the development of processes to improve data quality, sets goals, standards, processes, reporting and technology around data management. S/he will address highly critical and impactful Electric Operations data quality issues through AKM Front Door intake-designed to take a proactive, client-centric approach by prioritizing and systematically delivering the completion of data quality improvement projects with the intention to resolve and mitigate current, future and recurring issues---. S/he must have the business experience to understand how data is utilized within the company and the ability to communicate with others and convey data and information needs. S/he will lead collaboration with internal System and Process SMEs, IT partners, Risk Management leads and various teams across the portfolio to deliver results. In addition, this lead will require significant experience in dealing with all levels of management in highly complex organizational dynamic requiring adaptability, boldness, and creative forward thinking. Job Responsibilities Management of intake DQ project portfolio, health and overall lifecycle---. Prioritization of DQ projects--- Identifying issues, risks and mitigation plans---. Delivery of executed DQ projects--- Cross-functional coordination in cooperation with EO Data Governance Forum---. Capacity planning: resource identification and allocation recommendation. PSPS projects, business prioritized projects, CPUC DQ improvement mandates---. Portfolio Management; Workplan Creation; Resource Allocation---. Status Reporting on Project Portfolio. Design data analysis to achieve business objectives, process data, analyze data, write clear and concise data findings Provide a comprehensive data quality service by working with IT and Business owners for data profiling, data definition, data validation and define clear roles and responsibilities Provide guidance and direction on usage of the data and develop reporting that tracks data quality Determines data needs, collects data, selects from different analytical techniques to conduct root cause analysis and determine issues Creates analysis that accurately describes the state of the business. Work with Data Quality System team to creates complex and automated data routines and processes for reporting and data delivery ensuring accurate data transformation Develops and uses metrics to develop recommendations related to business strategy and operations. Development of presentations on specific strategic work plans to a wide range of stakeholders Designs and maintains operational tools, reports, visualizations, dashboards, metrics, etc. High level of curiosity to continuously identify ways to improve our processes. May assist in coaching and developing less experienced staff and end users Qualifications Minimum: BA/BS Degree in Business, Economics or relevant degree or equivalent experience Eight (8) years of relevant Business, Operational or Process Improvement experience Experience working with data stored across multiple databases/data sources Desired: Project Management Certification or equivalent work experience with demonstrated success Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Project, Visio or similar software Advanced reporting knowledge and experience with multiple reporting tools Demonstrated experience in data visualization best practices using Tableau Broad knowledge of different analytical methods, approaches and tactics Broad expertise in what-if modeling analysis, concepts, methods and techniques and analysis of how different factors affect business outcomes Creative problem-solving skills to develop solutions Qualitative and quantitative analytical skills Strong presentation and communication skills Strong project management knowledge and skills to lead project teams Excellent organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills Proven ability to drive change across a large organization Strong collaboration and partnership focus across functions Strong execution and implementation ability in a complicated business environment featuredjob
