Home Loan Sales will partner with key business leaders to execute
the credit union's mortgage and equity acquisition and retention
strategies. Patelco's strategic growth plan calls for a significant
increase in home equity while maintaining our top 25 mortgage
origination market share. This position is responsible for the
hiring, training and development of Home Loan Consultants and their
managers. This Home Loan sales leader will partner with Marketing
to develop, drive and flawlessly execute revenue generating,
multi-channel and integrated campaigns that increase our
direct-to-consumer and digital lending market presence. The role
will report to the Vice President of Home Loans. The ideal
candidate will be a self-starter, highly analytical, proven
problem-solver and results driven.Responsibilities:
- Create a member-focused culture that balances accountability
for results while doing business in accordance with the credit
union's core values and mission
- Manage the activities and behaviors of mortgage loan
consultants to meet and exceed performance targets while providing
superior member value and service
- Oversee the recruiting, hiring, and training of loan
officers
- Ability to present relevant and timely market-based production
data, forecast and competitive analysis to Senior and Executive
Management
- Direct the development and monitoring of performance standards.
Provide mentoring, coaching, or training to support and develop
managers and staff.
- Provides market and competitive input that leads to product
development
- Initiates and coordinates with Marketing campaigns and
strategies to generate loan volume
- Work closely with branches, digital and virtual teams to
maintain consistency in home loan origination procedures
- Responsible for all NMLS-related registration, training and
compliance procedures
- Prepare monthly commission reports along with divisional
reporting responsibility.
- Conduct and/or coordinate Home Buying Seminars and branch
training
- Responsible for cost center budgeting
- Assist with origination of loans requiring confidentiality or
special handling (e.g. employee loans).
- Maintains thorough and current knowledge of all federal, state,
and local regulations as well as internal policies and procedures
and mortgage products and services and business ethics codes.
- Represent and promote the Credit Union at external
functions
- Demonstrated strong organizational skills
- Exercises good judgment, excellent communication, and people
skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to deal effectively
with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
- Proven ability and leadership to handle multiple projects to
meet deadlines
- Ability to multi-task, demonstrated flexibility and a
willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with
enthusiasm
- Understand and comply with all applicable federal and state
laws and banking regulations (including those related to OFAC and
Bank Secrecy Act / Anti-Money Laundering compliance) and Patelco
Credit Union's policies and procedures.Qualifications:
- AA in business related discipline or equivalent (B.S. or B.A.
preferred)
- 10+ years of experience of residential real estate or mortgage
sales
- At least 5 years prior management experience, preferably in
originations or sales
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; strong
problem-solving, and analytical skills
- Proficient in various computer applications including, but not
limited to Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel
- Knowledge of secondary market guidelines and products required;
comprehension of FannieMae guidelines
- Knowledge of mortgage loan origination, processing,
underwriting, and closing requirements.We Offer:
