Job Title: Senior Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Remote (Local to Bay Area preferred)
Duration: Direct Hire

Summary:
This position is responsible for effective installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure. The job tasking will be focused on improving system stability and performance, maintaining, and improving the security posture of the systems, continuous monitoring of system health, and troubleshooting issues that arise.

Working closely within the Engineering, Service Desk, and Product organizations, the Infrastructure Engineer will support the design, automation, and deployments of infrastructure. A key component of the position is to help move from a traditional infrastructure deployment model to an infrastructure as code model with automation and monitoring via DevOps.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and remediate 2nd and 3rd level issues impacting the operation of the AWS infrastructure, Windows and Linux platforms, logging, monitoring and security systems, networking infrastructure, identity management systems, enterprise & SAAS applications.
  • Coordinates changes across multiple complex and interdependent systems.
  • Forecast utilization patterns and identifies modifications or upgrades.
  • Quickly learn new infrastructure technologies; enabling the ability to document the design, operation and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
  • Lead the implementation of technologies and platforms supporting a complex infrastructure.
  • Research new cloud technologies and prototype solutions that can be leveraged to decrease costs and increase performance.Qualifications:
    Minimum Education, Experience & Training Equivalent to:
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent technology discipline and/ or equivalent related technology experience in lieu of degree.
    • 10 years of infrastructure experience (firewalls, load balancer, DNS, DHCP, IOT.)
    • 10+ years of analyzing networks related to infrastructure design.
    • 10+ years of identifying best practices and standards for product use.
    • 10+ years of Windows Server implementation and administration.
    • Hands-on experience with technologies like Cisco Meraki, Windows & Linux Servers, AWS, Azure AD, OKTA, Office 365, Atlassian, Datadog.
    • Technical experience in building infrastructure and applications for scalability, resiliency, availability, and recovery.
    • Human Services or Healthcare industry experience is a plus
    • Advanced Experience with AWS services like: IAM Policies, EC2, ECS/EKS, Security Groups, Systems Manager/SSM, S3, CloudFormation, RDS, Workspaces, Backup, Multi-Region VPC, Route53, ALB/ELB/NLB, API GW, WAF, Shield, GuardDuty, KMS, CloudTrail, Config, CloudWatch, Config, preferred.
    • Experience with continuous software delivery pipelines and containers, preferred.
    • Experience working with Quality, Compliance, and documentation standards; working in audit situations, preferred.
    • Travel Requirement:
      Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
      • AWS Certified Solution Architect, or ability to pursue certification within 12-18 months of hire, preferred.
      • LPIC-1/LFCS/Linux+/Sever+ certified or ability to pursue certification within 12-18 months of hire, preferred.
      • Advanced Office365 and Azure AD Management.
      • Strong understanding across cloud and infrastructure components (server, storage, data, and applications) to deliver end to end cloud infrastructure architectures and designs.
      • Excellent documentation skills and procedural development capabilities are a core requirement.
      • Strong written and verbal communication and influencing skills, good judgment, high ethical standards, and a strong work ethic are a must.
      • Ability to work across teams to create optimal business solutions.
      • Ability to effectively communicate with cloud computing vendors and service providers.
      • Sensitivity to working with an ethnically, linguistically, culturally, and economically diverse population.
      • A commitment to the values of the organization while demonstrating good judgment, flexibility, patience, and discretion when dealing with confidential and sensitive matters.
      • Ability to consistently demonstrate good judgment and decision-making skills.
      • Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality.
