inclusion journey!GENERAL PURPOSE: The Senior Analyst, Store
Finance (Payroll) will provide critical financial and strategic
analytical support for stores at Ross and dd's Discounts. This role
will primarily focus on store payroll expense planning and
analysis, including but not limited to, store-level performance
tracking, expense trend reporting, forecasting and budgeting. The
Senior Analyst will work closely with other Store Finance analysts
as well as cross-functionally with various levels of department
leadership. Through daily responsibilities this role will have
significant exposure to all aspects of Store Operations which will
build a solid foundation for future career growth at Ross. The
Senior Analyst will not have direct reports.ESSENTIAL
FUNCTIONS:Annual Payroll Expense Budgets---Participate in annual
payroll budgeting processes. ---Leverage detailed understanding of
business priorities, in-store activities, and associated costs to
build budget models that accurately predict value and timing of
payroll expenses.---Develop store specific weekly/monthly sales and
payroll budget plans based on volume drivers (sales, transactions,
freight receipts, etc.), store-specific attributes, Ross and dd's
labor standards, and current budgets. Weekly/Monthly/Quarterly
Payroll Reporting---Produce and distribute various payroll expense
tracking reports to field leadership with insightful commentary on
store performance. ---Analyze weekly/monthly/quarterly payroll
expense variances to budget to formulate explanations for internal
and external stakeholders ---Proactively identify potential
issues/challenges. Partner with the field leaders (through the
Regional Finance Managers) to understand operational drivers of
payroll variances versus plan and provide detailed
explanations---Coordinate any responses to inquiries from the field
on payroll plan differences across storesSPS (Store Protection
Specialist) Program Budgeting/Forecasting---Own SPS program
budgeting and monthly allocations ---Develop deep understanding of
all facets of SPS program. Leverage understanding and partnership
with Loss Prevention to effectively develop annual program
budgets.---Regularly report (weekly and monthly) on store-level
program execution - hours utilization, wage rates, overtime spend,
etc. ---Partner with Loss Prevention, Regional Finance Managers,
and Workforce Management to ensure that stores are setup for

SKILLS REQUIRED:---Bachelor's degree required (preferably in an
analytical field)---Ideal candidate will have 5+ years of
post-college experience, preferably with another retailer or
multi-brand/multi-unit organization---Strong analytical ability -
must be able to design analysis to answer specific questions; be
able to synthesize data to connect the dots---Exceptional attention
to detail - must pay very close attention to details and have the
drive to get things right; be able to error check and reconcile own
work for accuracy---Excellent communication skills - must be able
to clearly communicate results and implications of analysis in both
verbal and written (PowerPoint) forms with multiple levels - from
peers to Operations leadership---Ability to build effective
relationships with a wide variety of internal customers, including
store and field leadership---Strong fundamental business technical
skills - must have strong Excel and PowerPoint skills and have an
ability to quickly learn new business process software applications
---A clear understanding of basic financial, statistical and
economic concepts---Must be trustworthy with confidential
informationPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ADA:Job requires ability to work
in an office environment, primarily on a computer. Requires
sitting, standing, walking, hearing, talking on the telephone,
attending in-person meetings, typing, and working with paper/files,
etc. Consistent timeliness and regular attendance. Vision
requirements: Ability to see information in print and/or
electronically.This role requires regular in-office presence,
including to engage in in-person team interaction. However, this
role can perform duties effectively using a combination of
